Allyson lives in Livonia. She is a single mom, to a very energetic and sweet eight-year-old boy. He loves all things Minecraft, swimming, and karate. Having previously taught middle school social studies, Allyson is currently an elementary teacher in Detroit. When not at her sons sporting events, she enjoys reading and working out. As a family, they enjoy traveling up north, utilizing their memberships at the Henry Ford and Zoo, and Detroit Tigers baseball!Amanda lives in Berkley with her boyfriend, Mike, and their son, Michael. She loves living on this side of town after living in Ann Arbor for 10 years (Go Blue!). She is a long time preschool teacher turned SAHM and finds ways to continue to work with kiddos while being home with her own LO. She is passionate about early childhood education and feels so lucky to be able to bring that into mommyhood. You can often find her neck deep in crafts, taking a barre class, out & about whenever the weather allows for it, watching some kind of sporting event and/or enjoying an adult beverage of any variety.Amy lives in Macomb with her husband & two boys. She grew up with only sisters, so she is constantly learning how to navigate being a boy mom. She’s a partner at a litigation law firm; Balancing work & home life is one of her biggest challenges. She is a strong believer in communities & all they have to offer. You can often find her at the library, participating in their programs or reading books with her boys. In the warmer months, they are always finding new parks. Amy is proud of her east-side roots but also loves exploring the City of Detroit with her boys. For fun, she loves to read, shop, and try new restaurants.Candice was born on the other side of the Ambassador Bridge, but grew up in the metro Detroit area. She currently resides in the lovely city of Plymouth and is the blessed mama of a beautiful and intelligent little angel named Thea; She fills her soul with a love that she didn’t know existed! Candice is a lover of life, people and food. She have champagne taste on a Faygo budget and is an expert at failed Pinterest attempts and kitchen dance parties. She enjoy running (slowly) and yoga, and has a knack for finding a silver lining on the darkest of days. Candice believes that a compliment and a smile can make a world of difference. She is a full-time working mama at an automotive manufacturer. When she’s not working, commuting, or spending time with the family, Chrissie trains for marathons. A former high school English teacher, Danielle now spends most of her days with her daughter at the library (or other toddler-friendly locations) and her evenings at local coffee shops either tutoring or writing. Her favorite word is Sonder (it’s totally worth looking up!) and works daily to not only achieve it but lend a helping hand whenever possible. As a metro Detroit native, Danielle loves relaxing on boats during the summer months, meeting family and friends at cider mills in the fall, and eating Greek salads and pita at Coney Islands whenever possible.Danielle lives in Farmington with her husband, two girls, and two cats. Although she traded her first grade teaching job to be a stay-at-home-mom, she can never quite turn off her teacher side. He brings humor and a sense of levity whenever things get stressful or just too serious. His love for useless trivia in sci-fi or anything geek culture is only surpassed by his devotion to his family and young son. She enjoys girly conversations over hot meals at restaurants with her friends, and loves all things family. She’s a sucker for any new make-up, skin care product or new beauty treatment.Erin Piper is a metro Detroit native and has lived in Wayne County her whole life. She’s been married to her college sweetheart since 2008 and they are raising their son and daughter in Livonia. She has two part time gigs – running an online marketing business and managing a cafe/playscape at her church. She loves m&ms, Gilmore Girls, and the rare moments when her kids are both sleeping at the same time.Jamie is a Dearborn girl born & raised, but recently moved to New Baltimore. She and her husband Mark have two perfect kiddos: Benny, and Ellie. Jamie works full-time from home designing virtual classrooms & curriculum for a technology company, and Mark is a SAHD. After Benny was born, Jamie became an advocate for the Down syndrome community. She is a National Down Syndrome Society Ambassador for the State of Michigan, and is the President of her 501(c)3 non-profit, The Down Syndrome Diary. They love to try out new local eateries & traveling with their energetic crew whenever possible. JeeYoung loves people and has a big heart to serve others. She maintains a private practice as a psychologist specializing in eating disorders and works hard to reduce stigma associated with mental health. Kristine doesn’t believe parenting is possible without a village of love & support, and feels eternally grateful for the village she relies on (more than she would like to admit). Kristine believes in breathing deeply, sweating once a day, lattes, and Anthropologie. She is happily married to her college sweetheart, Aldo, and has two funny & active little boys, Aldo & Marco. Lacey is in house counsel for Dunham’s Sports, and formerly a civil litigator.
