Share a Scoop of Hudsonville Ice Cream With Someone You Love

We survived the Polar Vortex by hiding out in our homes for a few days, and now Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! While we were waiting out the freezing temperatures, we were dreaming up ways to celebrate the upcoming holiday. We strive to make it special each year, and even with our little ones, that has not changed.

When we think of Valentine’s Day, we think of love. Loving each other is the sweetest part of the holiday. But we wanted something we could all share together! We decided there could not be anything better than sharing a scoop of our favorite ice cream, Hudsonville Ice Cream. Thus, we were ready to celebrate our love with something we could all share: a Hudsonville Ice Cream Sundae Party!

Our family is an ice cream family; give us all the ice cream and all the toppings! We LOVE Hudsonville Ice Cream, and my husband and I both prefer the classics: him French Vanilla and for me, Chocolate. It shouldn’t be surprising that our children are ice cream connoisseurs and will happily devour any and all flavors given the chance. Due to our love of the classics, we were so excited to try a new flavor for our Valentine’s Day Sundae. This flavor gives a little twist on our favorites: the Limited Edition Chocolate Raspberry Indulgence, which includes White Chocolate, Chocolate, and Raspberry. Sign us up!

Before diving into our ice cream party, we wanted to talk a little about love. A large pink envelope, which our toddler was SO excited to open, contained games and heart stickers with a special message inside. We explained that the stickers read, “I love you because…” and talked about all the reasons we loved each other. He was so happy to pull them off and stick them on the paper Love Jar. It was a wonderful way for us to talk about what we mean to each other and celebrate our love.

Next, it was on to the sweetest part of our Valentine’s Day Party: the treats! We love seeing the excitement in our children’s eyes, and all of these beautiful toppings did the trick. Hot fudge, sprinkles, and pink and red M&M’s all called our name! Every detail was perfect and the epitome of a sweet Valentine Treat. We could not wait to share this with each other!

Our boys are still little, so we moved our ice cream party to our coffee table. That way, they could make their own sundaes, and we could all be together! We scooped the ice cream and then let our toddler go to town with the toppings on his sundae! He loved the idea that he could decorate however he saw fit and, of course, really piled his toppings high. After our toddler was all set up, we helped the baby get some, too. But as you can see below, he really helped himself! Our toddler helped make an ice cream for Mom and Dad. Things got a little messy, but it was so magical for him. He loves being a helper and being able to make sundaes was a memory we will cherish.

If you’re in need of a way to celebrate this Valentine’s Day with your family, with your love, with your girlfriends, or with anyone, we cannot recommend a Hudsonville Ice Cream Sundae Party more! The Limited Edition Chocolate Raspberry Indulgence was a huge hit in our house, and you can use the Scoop Locator to find your own!
