Spring Fashion Trends Perfect for Mom Life

A new season means new trends, and puh-lease give me all of the fashion.  It’s fun to read magazines and also watch what walks down the runway. Sure, those looks are gorgeous and beautiful, but they don’t always work in my real world, day to day life. Ever try a Mom and Tot class in a ball gown? You see my point. But no need to pick up the latest Vogue, I’ve sifted through the 2018 Spring Trends and am happy to share with you what I consider to be the most wearable trends that are easy to to pull off without blowing your budget.

I’ve partnered with one of my favorite local Michigan Mom Lifestyle Bloggers, The Mediumalist. She’s modeling a few items from my own little slice of heaven, Madison Boutique. In no particular order, here’s what you should add to your closet this spring:

Lavender

Pastels ruled the runway.  Lavender is the most wearable color of the crew without looking like a part-time easter egg impersonator. My favorite way to wear this style is lavender paired with denim and a bold lip. A color that pairs perfectly with jeans is a slam dunk for me. We combined our favorite spring color here with the seemingly never ending cold shoulder trend. This color is here to stay!

Shiny Fabrics

Shimmer was a big winner at this years fashion shows. I couldn’t be more excited about this because it’s a great trend to incorporate when you need to transition from day to night. We took the same rose gold metallic top and created an easy daytime and a casual nighttime look.

Large Architectural Statement Earrings

These require very little effort, you just have to remember where you put them (isn’t that half the battle?!). Take a plain outfit like a solid tee and a skinny jean and add earrings with interest and boom, you’re nailing this trend like a pro.

If you’ve read my posts before you know I’m all about finding a mom appropriate style that works for you, a way to be stylish and practical. While the looks may be inspired by big designer names, you don’t need to splurge and the copycat versions are just as good. It’s just a matter of being selective with what you buy and how you wear it.

What are your favorite trends for Spring? Will you try any of these?
